ITES and RSK announce strategic partnership to support UK-India Net Zero innovation

The new partnership brings together the expertise and reach of ITES and global leaders RSK to accelerate bilateral solutions in clean transport and energy systems

12 February 2025

ITES (Innovating for Transport and Energy Systems) and RSK, a global leader in the delivery of sustainable solutions, have announced a new partnership that will accelerate critical Net Zero solutions in the UK and India.

The collaboration will combine partner expertise across the energy, innovation, infrastructure, and sustainability sectors to tackle one of Net Zero’s toughest challenges – decarbonising transport, and the energy system that powers it.

Part of the UK-India Science, Technology, and Innovation Partnership, ITES propels green technologies and their benefits into the UK and Indian markets, delivering cleaner air, healthier communities, and economic growth. Joint work will see RSK play a pivotal role in supporting ITES’s objectives, bringing its technical expertise and industry knowledge to the programme’s activities.

RSK, a group of more than 200 environmental, engineering, and technical services businesses employing over 15,000 people worldwide, delivers practical solutions to some of the greatest sustainability challenges. The strategic partnership with ITES will foster bilateral collaboration on Net Zero barriers and sustainable solutions and support mutual market insights. ITES introductions will see RSK collaborate more closely with government, industry, and innovative businesses in the UK and India, and help unlock opportunities for clean tech startups and small to medium sized enterprises (SMEs) working with ITES.

In February 2025, RSK will support ITES at India Energy Week, where ITES will be representing UK innovation as part of the UK government pavilion. The event will provide a high-profile platform to highlight the transformative technologies of ITES-supported innovators and establish bilateral connections in the clean energy transition space.
Later in the year, RSK will also bring its global expertise and insights to the ITES Knowledge Series. Hosted in collaboration with the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), these events bring together innovation experts to share the latest thinking and progress on critical innovation areas, such as green hydrogen, battery energy storage systems, and EV infrastructure.

Andrew Stokes, ITES UK Lead, said: “To thrive in a low-carbon future, it’s not enough to innovate. ITES brings together stakeholders across sectors and international borders to create the conditions for UK-India solutions to flourish. That makes us especially delighted to announce this partnership with RSK. Combining ITES’s collaborative platform with RSK’s expertise will allow us to support UK-India initiatives with ever-more expert insights, while boosting opportunities for innovative businesses.”
